640 Sports WMEN-AM program director Marc Eisenberg will expand his show one extra hour in early January as his program will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The decision was based on the departure of former midday host Andy Slater who did his final show at that station on December 12. 640 Sports have given on-air tryouts to several former athletes this past week and a decision on the new early afternoon host will be made soon.
Eisenberg, a Florida Atlantic University grad, joined 640 Sports as a weekend host in May 2012. He became an interim morning co-host with Chris Perkins from June until early August 2012 and then moved to a sports anchor position there and at sister-station 850 WFTL-AM for the next seven months. Eisenberg began to host a Sunday morning show in September 2012 and added program director duties at WMEN in November 2012.
He sandwiched two stints this year as the late morning host around the short three-month tenure of Dan Sileo. Eisenberg had the shift from May to late July and from early November until the present time. He had previous stints as a producer and sports co-host at Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM and 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM in Miami.
