WIOD Moves Rick Sanchez

News Talk 610 WIOD-AM will move their afternoon host Rick Sanchez to a late morning shift as of January 6. He is about to celebrate his first anniversary at that station next month. Sean Hannity will move from being on tape delay at nights to a live afternoon shift while Glenn Beck goes to evenings from late mornings.
Sanchez was the radio game analyst for Florida International University football during the 2011 season. He was known as a newscaster throughout most of his broadcasting career. He had a long tenure of over a decade as a weekday news anchor at WSVN-TV Channel 7. Sanchez went to the national stage when he became a news anchor at MSNBC. He returned to Miami and worked at WTVJ-TV Channel 6 first as an afternoon talk show host then later as a news anchor. He joined CNN as a weekend daytime news anchor and was later elevated to mid-afternoon weekday host at that network.
