For the fourth consecutive month Miami Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM was on top of all sports format radio stations in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale region. Their margin of victory did shrink in the local market.
It was the longest streak for WQAM since they were in front from September 2015 until December 2015, even though they slipped from a 1.2 to a 1.1. Miami Hurricanes football game broadcasts bumped the Florida Panthers Radio Network to other less noticeable stations when there was a timing conflict.
790 The Ticket WAXY-AM stayed flat for the third straight month with a 0.7 in November. They have waited a while for the return of Miami Heat game broadcasts to the airwaves and did not get a positive bump with the departure of Dwyane Wade from the team.
Miami Sports 940 WINZ-AM remained at a 0.2 to this month. It is the first time since 2009 that the station did not have the Miami Dolphins radio broadcasts to rely on during this ratings period and it showed. They still are the local broadcast affiliate of University of Florida football.
