The Florida Panthers came back to defeat the Montreal Canadiens 4-3 in overtime on Tuesday night at Bell Centre. It was the first game of four straight on the road and the start of a stretch where the Panthers will play 10 of their next 12 games away from South Florida.
The contest needed an overtime period for it to be decided. Florida(8-7-1) picked up the winning goal at 2:59 when Aaron Ekblad broke his stick while taking a slapshot from the slot area. It slowly went by Carey Price for the Panthers victory. This was the first time this season that Montreal(13-2-2) had lost a game on home ice.
