Pahokee Beats Glades Central In Muck Bowl

     The Pahokee Blue Devils toppled the Glades Central Raiders 27-14 in the Muck Bowl on Friday night at Anquan Boldin Stadium. The Blue Devils have not won the Muck Bowl since 2007 and stopped an eight-game losing streak to the Raiders.
     Pahokee(10-0) marched down the field and scored on their first possession at 4:53 of the first quarter. Quarterback Tyrone Smith threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Tyron Arnett.
     The Blue Devils continued their success and found the end zone on their second drive. Running back Rodney McKay went around the left end and scored from 13 yards away with nine second left in the first quarter to make it 14-0.
     Glades Central(6-4) answered back to cut the margin to 14-7 at the 9:26 mark of the second quarter. Quarterback James Blackman fired a 39-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Quantino Allen on the right sideline.
     The remainder of the second quarter belonged to Pahokee. Running back Jim Travis Gray scored from one yard out several minutes later on their next possession. They extended their lead to 24-7 when Ezekiel Hernandez kicked a 27-yard field goal with 42 seconds left in the first half.
     In the third quarter, Hernandez added another field goal from 36 yards at 9:37 to increase the Pahokee margin to 27-7. Glades Central got the only score in the fourth quarter as running back Demetrius Martin rushed in for a touchdown from three yards away with 6:37 to go.
