Marlins Spoil Stephen Strasburg's Season Debut

Washington Nationals starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg made his 2022 Major League Baseball debut at loanDepot park on Thursday night and they fell to the Miami Marlins 7-4. Strasburg has not pitched a MLB game in over a year and last appeared on June 1, 2021.
The Fish completed a three-game series sweep against the Nationals and finished the homestand with a 5-2 record. It is their longest winning streak since April 23-30 when they were victorious in seven consecutive games. The Marlins will play only eight home games in the next 31 days.
Miami(25-30) jumped on Washington(21-38) with three runs in the first inning. Jesus Sanchez doubledd through the right side for Jazz Chisholm Jr. to score. Jon Berti followed with a base hit to center which brought in Avisail Garcia and Sanchez. Strasburg pitched 4 2/3 innings and surrendered seven runs on eight hits.
