Marlins Walk Off Nationals

The Miami Marlins topped the Washington Nationals 2-1 in 10 innings on Wednesday night at loanDepot park. The Marlins, who picked up two straight wins for the first time since May 16-17, have won five of their last eight games.
Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara pitched nine innings and allowed six hits. Nationals starting pitcher Josiah Gray went five innings and gave up six hits.
There was no scoring by Miami(24-30) and Washington(21-37) until the 10th inning. Keibert Ruiz singled into center field for Luis Garcia to score to give the Nationals a 1-0 lead.
The Marlins answered back in the bottom of the frame. Willians Astudillo got a base hit to right field and Jazz Chisholm Jr. reached home to tie it up 1-1. Jesus Aguilar lined a single up the middle off second base and Astudillo scored the winning run.
