Calvary Christian Academy At Chaminade-Madonna Preview

The Calvary Christian Academy Eagles travel to Hollywood and challenge the Chaminade-Madonna Lions on Friday night. It is a battle between two schools in a Class 3A regional semifinal at Vince Zappone Field.
Calvary Christian Academy(6-0) is undefeated with regular season wins over Cardinal Newman, Everglades Prep, Clewiston and American. The Eagles blanked King's Academy 36-0 in a play-in game and outscored Palm Glades Prep 50-6 in a regional quarterfinal. They have been dominant and outscored their opponents 213-27 this season. They will rush the ball with running backs Isaiah Joseph, Marquette Cozart, Ashton Redman and Eric Trowbridge. Quarterback Gabe Contento can run and make passes to wide receivers Brandon Chatman and Tugg Hollandworth.
Chaminade-Madonna(5-1) is the three-time defending state champions in Class 3A. Last week they routed Somerset Academy Silver Palms 52-0 in a regional quarterfinal. The Lions are currently on a four-game winning streak with road victories over Bishop Verot, Clearwater Academy International and Benjamin. They have outscored their opponents 188-68 this year. Running back Thaddius Franklin will get the bulk of the rushing opportunities and some handoffs will be given to running back Davion Gause. Quarterback Jaylon Tolbert looks to find wide receivers Joshua Jenkins and Michael Williams on passes.
