The Florida Panthers have re-signed forward Mason Marchment. It is a one-year, two-way contract worth $700,000. He was acquired by the Panthers from the Toronto Maple Leafs on February 19 for Denis Malgin.
Marchment did play in the National Hockey League during the 2019-20. He participated in four games with the Toronto Maple Leafs and compiled one assist.
He spent the rest of the 2019-20 campaign in the American Hockey League. Marchment split his time between the Toronto Marlies and the Springfield Thunderbirds. He chalked up 13 goals and seven assists in 30 games. Marchment did capture a Calder Cup with the Marlies back in 2017-18.
