The Tru Prep Academy Saints take on the Atlantic Eagles at Boca Raton High School on Saturday night. It will be the first meeting ever between both teams.
TRU Prep Academy(4-1) started the season with wins over Akrlynn's Angels Christian Academy, Palm Glades Prep Academy and defending FHSAA Class 2A champion Champagnat Catholic. After a loss to St. Thomas Aquinas, the Saints responded with a 34-14 win over Monsignor Pace last week. Quarterback Nick Vattiato can connect passes to wide receivers Brandon Inniss and Vincent Pagano. Running back Max Balthazar will get the bulk of the carries.
Atlantic(0-0) finally began their season last week just like all the other public high schools in Palm Beach County. The Eagles had a 14-0 lead in the first quarter against West Boca Raton when the contest was postponed due to a weather delay. Running back Montahj Joseph will lead their offense and is expected to get the majority of rushing opportunities. He did score two touchdowns in their first game last week.
