Glades Central Tops Pahokee In Muck Bowl

The Glades Central Raiders defeated the Pahokee Blue Devils 38-0 in the annual Muck Bowl at Wellington High School on Saturday night. It was the first time that the big Palm Beach County rivalry game was not held in Belle Glade or Pahokee. This also was not the last game of the regular season for both schools.
The Raiders won the Muck Bowl for the second time in three years and the tenth time in the last 13 occasions. The Blue Devils had been victorious in the Muck Bowl three of the last four years entering this contest.
Glades Central(3-0) came out strong in the first quarter to go out in front 7-0. Running back Jaheim Humphries went through the right side of the line to reach the end zone from two yards out at the 7:16 mark.
The Raiders expanded their lead to 14-0 at 9:46 of the second quarter. Running back Jamari Steward went around the right end and down the right hash marks from 39 yards away. Jose Garcia added a 37-yard field goal later in the quarter and they had a 17-point margin.
It became 24-0 for Glades Central over Pahokee(1-2) with 2:30 remaining in the second. Wide receiver Carjuan Perkins rushed for an eight-yard gain into the end zone.
In the third quarter, the Raiders increased it to 31-0 at the 4:39 mark. Running back Desmond Washington angled to the left sideline and scored from seven yards out.
Glades Central got another score just 49 seconds into the fourth quarter to lead 38-0. Quarterback Zomarion Harper found wide receiver Antavious Tarver on the left sideline for a touchdown. A running clock was implemented for the rest of the game.
