Former Miami Dolphins safety Jake Scott passed away on Thursday. He was part of the only two Super Bowl champions in Dolphins franchise history.
Scott played for Miami from 1970 to 1975. He was on the Dolphins roster when the club went undefeated and had a perfect 17-0 record in 1972. Scott was named Most Valuable Player in Super Bowl VII as they defeated the Washington Redskins. The team won another title the following year as they beat the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl VIII. Scott had 35 interceptions in 84 games with the Dolphins.
