The annual Muck Bowl between the Glades Central Raiders and the Pahokee Blue Devils will be played on Saturday night. Glades Central versus Pahokee is considered to be the biggest rivalry in Palm Beach County football.
It will be held at the neutral site of Wellington High School instead of in Belle Glade or Pahokee. The Muck Bowl is usually slated as the regular season finale for both teams, however it won't happen this year.
The Blue Devils have won three of the last four Muck Bowls. The Raiders have taken nine of the last 12 Muck Bowl contests since 2008.
Glades Central(2-0) had no trouble in their first two games of the 2020 season. The Raiders blanked Palm Beach Central 41-0 and trounced Royal Palm Beach 46-6. Quarterback Zomarion Harper can find wide receivers Antavious Tarver, Carjuan Perkins, Ro'Quan Porter, Aaron Davis, Robert Luckas and Jamaree Bryant on passing plays. Running backs Desmond Washington, Jaheim Humphries and Jamari Steward will get their rushing attempts.
Pahokee(1-1) came back from 16 points down in the fourth quarter and beat Wellington 22-16 in double overtime last week. The Blue Devils lost their season opener to Dwyer 25-22. Running back Geoffrey McKelton Jr. will see plenty of rushing opportunities.
