Braves Beat Marlins


    The Miami Marlins only got two hits on Wednesday night as they lost to the Atlanta Braves 2-1 at Marlins Park. Both starters pitched well as Randall Delgado(4-5) of the Braves went 6 1/3 innings and gave up one run on two hits. Josh Johnson(3-4) of the Marlins took the loss even though he was on the mound for 7 2/3 innings, struck out nine with six hits and two runs.
    The Braves scored their two runs in the fourth inning. Brian McCann hit a lead-off double to right field and Dan Uggla followed with a walk. Freddie Freeman singled to right field to score McCann as Uggla advanced to third. Three batters later, Delgado picked up an RBI-single into left field to score Uggla.   
    Miami closed the gap to 2-1 in the fifth inning as Giancarlo Stanton initially doubled to left field. Logan Morrison flew out to left field then Justin Ruggiano grounded out to first base and Stanton advanced to third. Bryan Petersen knocked in Stanton on a two-out single to left field.
