Panthers Draft Matheson
The Florida Panthers drafted defenseman Michael Matheson in the first round of the NHL Draft this weekend in Pittsburgh. He played last season with the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the United States Hockey League. Matheson had 11 goals and 16 assists for 27 points in 53 games with the team in 2011-12.
