The Eastern Conference Finals shifted to TD Garden in Boston on Friday night as the Celtics defeated the Miami Heat 101-91 in game three. Miami now leads the series 2-1. LeBron James led Miami with 34 points and 8 rebounds while Dwyane Wade added 18. Boston had three players with at least 20 points in the game. Kevin Garnett had 24 points, Paul Pierce put up 23 and Rajon Rondo sank 21. Game four is on Sunday night.
Miami got their biggest lead of the game at 28-22 with 2:38 left in the first quarter. The Celtics picked up the final eight points of the frame and led 30-28 after one quarter. Boston scored the first seven points of the second quarter to complete a 15-0 run. The C's increased their margin to double digits by the end of the quarter and were up 55-42 at halftime.
The Celtics led 85-63 after three quarters as they outscored the Heat 30-21. Boston extended their lead to 24 points early in the fourth quarter. Miami was able to cut the lead down to 91-82 with under six minutes to go on a Wade dunk. It ended a 19-6 spurt by the Heat.
