Heat Fall In Game One

    The Miami Heat played game one of the NBA Finals in Oklahoma City and were knocked off by the Thunder 105-94 on Tuesday night at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. LeBron James led the Heat with 30 points and nine rebounds. Dwyane Wade contributed 19 points and eight assists while Shane Battier added a surprising 17 points. Kevin Durant dropped 36 points for the Thunder and Russell Westbrook sank 27 points with 11 assists.
    The Heat jumped out 10-2 which lead to a 20-10 start in the first quarter. Miami had an 11-point lead late in the stanza and were up 29-22 after one quarter.
    Miami extended their lead to 13 points at 37-24 when James made a slam dunk with 9:12 left in the half. Oklahoma City closed the gap at the second quarter and were down 54-47. Battier had 13 first-half points for the Heat.
    Oklahoma City came up with a 13-6 run at the start of the second half and tied the game at 60-60 with 6:43 left in the third quarter. Michael Westbrook made a three-point play with 16.4 remaining in the quarter for the Thunder's first lead of the game at 74-73. OKC finished the frame on an 8-2 run.
    The Thunder continued with the first two baskets of the fourth quarter and a 14-3 stretch through the two quarters to increase their lead to 80-74. Miami would pull within three points of the lead twice in the fourth quarter and never regained the lead.
