Red Sox Slip By Marlins

    The Boston Red Sox broke a six-game losing streak as they edged the Miami Marlins 2-1 on Tuesday night at Marlins Park. Clay Buchholz(7-2) went seven innings and struck out nine along with one run on five hits. Marlins starter Mark Buehrle(5-7) also pitched seven innings and gave up two runs on five hits.
    Boston picked up a two-run rally in the seventh inning. With Will Meadowbrooks on second base and two outs, Kelly Shoppach got an RBI-double to center field for a 1-0 lead. Mike Aviles followed with a single to right center to score Shoppach.   
    Miami put their only run on the scoreboard in the bottom of the seventh as Logan Morrision blasted a lead-off solo home run to right field on a 1-1 pitch. It was the fifth homer this season by Morrison.
