Marlins Beat Pirates

It was a pitcher's duel between the top hurlers on both clubs as the Miami Marlins defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 3-1 at Marlins Park on Tuesday night. Jose Fernandez improved his record to 8-2 as he went seven innings and allowed no runs on three hits.
Miami(27-25) put up three runs during the seventh inning against Gerrit Cole. Ichiro Suzuki singled to right field with one out and advanced to second on a J.T. Realmuto infield single. Christian Yelich knocked in Ichiro with a base hit into right and took second base on the throw. Marcell Ozuna was able to walk and loaded the bases.
Pittsburgh(29-22) fell behind more when Realmuto scored on a wild pitch to make it 2-0. Justin Bour grounded into a fielder's choice for Yelich to cross the plate.
A.J. Ramos was unable to hold the shutout in the ninth inning as the Pirates were able to load the bases. Gregory Polanco blasted a sacrifice fly to the warning track in center field for John Jaso to come in and score.
