Spanish River Beats Centennial

The Spanish River Sharks finally played their spring football game and topped the Centennial Eagles 21-7 on Tuesday night. The game had been postponed last Tuesday and rescheduled for today.
The Sharks got up 7-0 with 35 seconds left in the first quarter as quarterback Connor Tribby scored from one yard away. The game was stopped with 3:36 remaining in the first half due to lightning detected in the vicinity.
Spanish River extended their margin to 14-0 at 2:42 of the third quarter. Running back Daniel Myers was able to burst through with a 25-yard touchdown carry. The Sharks got another score when Tribby threw a 20-yard pass to wide receiver Cole Sandberg one minute into the fourth quarter to make it 21-0.
Centennial made certain that they would not leave Boca Raton with no points. Wide receiver Chris Smith sprinted 66 yards for a touchdown with 3:15 to go in the final quarter.
