The Miami Heat held on to for a 112-99 road victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night. The Heat, who snapped a two-game losing streak, are now tied with the Chicago Bulls and Indana Pacers for seventh in the Eastern Conference.
Miami(38-40) was able to take a 27-23 lead after one quarter and were up 52-51 at halftime. Charlotte(36-43) was unable to keep up with the pace and were behind 86-73 after three quarters. Both clubs scored 26 points each in the final quarter.
Goran Dragic led the Heat with 33 points. Hassan Whiteside put together a double-double with 13 points and 20 rebounds. Nicolas Batum had a game-high 24 points for the Hornets.
