The Miami Heat barely fell short as they lost to the Toronto Raptors 96-94 at Air Canada Centre on Friday night. The Heat have lost three of their last four games and dropped to ninth in the Eastern Conference.
Toronto(49-31) started off ahead 26-19 after one quarter and were up 53-43 at halftime. Miami(38-41) cut into the gap during the second half and were down 70-65 after three quarters. The Heat did outscore the Raptors by three points during the final quarter, but were unable to take the lead.
James Johnson led the Heat with a team-high 22 points while Goran Dragic added 18 points. DeMar DeRozan had a game-high 38 points for Toronto.
