Mariners Stomp Marlins

Ichiro Suzuki returned to Seattle for the first time since 2014 and the Miami Marlins lost to the Mariners 6-1 at Safeco Field on Monday night. It was the stadium he called home for over 11 seasons. The loss snapped the Marlins three-game winning streak.
Seattle(6-8) blasted out to a fast start with three runs during the first inning. Robinson Cano blasted a two-run homer to right-center field which scored Jarrod Dyson. Nelson Cruz followed up with a solo home run to center and made it 3-0.
The Mariners added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth. Dyson doubled to left field and Leonys Martin scored. Cano would then drive Dyson across the plate with a double into left. Taylor Motter pounded a home run in the fifth inning to make it 6-0.
Miami(7-6) broke the shutout in the ninth inning. Christian Yelich nailed a 0-0 pitch over the left-field fence for a solo homer.
