The Miami Heat beat the New Orleans Pelicans 106-101 on Friday night at American Airlines Arena. The Heat ended a five-game home losing streak.
Miami(8-13) rocketed out to a 37-17 lead after one quarter and were up 61-41 by halftime. New Orleans(11-12) cut into the deficit in the third quarter and trailed 81-75 after three quarters.
The Heat were led by Josh Richardson with 20 points and Dwyane Wade with 18 points. Anthony Davis had a game-high 41 points along with nine rebounds for the Pelicans. Jrue Holiday also added 21 points.
