The Florida Panthers slipped by the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 at Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday night. Mike Hoffman tied a Florida franchise record as he equaled Pavel Bure with a 13-game point streak. Bure set the mark for the Panthers in the 1999-2000 season
The Cats extended their winning streak to five games. It was the beginning of a six-game road trip for the Panthers.
Florida(7-5-3) compiled two goals during the second period. Aarron Ekblad scored his first goal of the season with the man advantage at 8:15. Frank Vatrano and Hoffrman were credited with assists on the play.
The Panthers made it a two-goal margin with 2:25 left in the second. Evgenii Dadonov kept his point streak alive at 12 games when he scored his eighth goal of the season. Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov was able to get the only assist.
In the third period, Philadelphia(9-8-1) got a tally at 3:55. Jakub Voracek put in his fifth goal of the campaign on a set up by Oskar Lindblom and Sean Couturier.
