Former local sportswriter Antwan Staley has left his position as the Baltimore Orioles beat reporter for MLB.com. He had started the job back in February.
Staley, an East Carolina University grad, had worked as a college football writer for Athlon Sports. He also did freelance work covering the Florida Panthers from 2014 to 2016.
He was the Miami Dolphins writer with USA Today The Dolphins Wire for the last couple of years until February. Staley was a guest evening co-host on Sports Talk 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM from 2015 until 2019 with Josh Friedman, Greg Likens and Zack Duarte.
