Damon Arnette was taken by the Las Vegas Raiders with the 19th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. It was the second draft selection on the night made by the Raiders who are now based in Las Vegas.
Arnette, a Fort Lauderdale native, was a defensive back with the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders. He helped them win two FHSAA Class 7A state championships in 2012 and 2014. Arnette played college football with the Ohio State Buckeyes and captured several Big Ten Conference titles.
