The Pittsburgh Steelers signed two undrafted free agents from the South Florida region on Saturday night. They were defensive backs James Pierre and Trajan Bandy.
Pierre was with the Florida Atlantic University Owls for three seasons where they won two straight Conference USA championships. He played with the Deerfield Beach Bucks while in high school and helped them get to the FHSAA Class 8A state semifinals in 2016.
Bandy played for the University of Miami Hurricanes and was part of a team that won the ACC Coastal Division in 2017. He was with the Columbus Explorers prior to attending college.
