The coronavirus pandemic affected how sports were covered by the local radio organizations. ESPN West Palm 106.3 WUUB-FM does not subscribe to any service.

They were at a 0.6 back in September 2019 and has lost two-thirds of their audience since then because there was no game broadcasts of New York Yankees contests. Florida Atlantic University athletics was stopped while the Florida Panthers were outside the bubble for an Eastern Conference playoff spot when the NHL season was suspended in March.
Sports Radio 1230 The Zone WBZT-AM had a 0.1 for five straight months and dropped to a 0.0 in the period. WBZT once went 13 consecutive months with a 0.0 from July 2018 until September 2019. The Miami Marlins game broadcasts returned to the station with half of their spring training games being announced locally from Jupiter.
