Former local high school football player Lamar Jackson appears on the front cover of the Madden 21 NFL video game. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was on the cover last season and ended up winning the Super Bowl.
Jackson has been the quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens for the past two seasons. He was given the National Football League Most Valuable Player award in 2019.
He played high school football with the Boynton Beach Tigers. Jackson helped them finish as a district runner-up in 2013 and 2014. They lost to the Miami Central Rockets in the FHSAA regional quarterfinal to end both of their seasons.
