Kevin Rogers Out At Entercom Communications

     Kevin Rogers was released by Entercom Communications on Tuesday because of budget cuts. He worked for both of their sports radio stations in Miami which are 560 The Joe WQAM-AM and Sports Talk 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM. He will continue with VegasInsider.com as a senior writer and handicapper.
     Rogers, a Florida State University grad, was the weekend host on the Florida Panthers Radio Network since November 2015.  It was his third stint in that post. He had the position in the late 2000s at The Ticket and from September 2010 to April 2014 at WQAM.
     He was the Miami Dolphins Radio Network halftime and postgame studio host until last year. Rogers was also the backup play-by-play announcer and studio host of the University of Miami Hurricanes Radio Network basketball and baseball broadcasts when Joe Zagacki had another Hurricanes radio obligation.
     Rogers was employed at The Ticket in the mid 2000s in several positions which included late night host, evening host, late morning host and Florida Panthers Radio Network studio host. His tenure there ended in December 2008.
     He joined WQAM in in August 2009 as an evening host. Rogers added duties as the studio host of the Florida Panthers Radio Network and was let go by that station in August 2014. He was a weekend news anchor at News Radio 610 WIOD-AM and fill-in sports host on Miami Sports 940 WINZ-AM from October 2014 until January 2015. Rogers rejoined WQAM in November 2015.
