Heat Defeat Hawks

     The Miami Heat topped the Atlanta Hawks 109-99 at American Airlines Arena on Sunday night. Miami increased their winning streak to six games and reached the .500 mark for the first time since January 9. The Heat, who finished 10-5 during the month of February, will face the Hawks again Tuesday in the second game of a two-game set.
     Miami(17-17) were up 26-21 after one quarter. The Heat began the second with a 9-2 spurt and stayed ahead 54-44 at halftime. Atlanta(14-20) chopped the lead down to 78-77 at the end of three quarters.  Both clubs were tied 95-95 with 3:38 left in the fourth and then Miami scored 10 unanswered points. 
     Kendrick Nunn led the Heat with a team-high 24 points and seven assists. Bam Adebayo completed a double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds. Tyler Herro and Precious Achiuwa contributed 14 points each in the victory. 
     The Hawks had several players who complied double-double. John Collins put together 34 points and 10 rebounds while Clint Capela chalked up 20 points and 14 rebounds. Trae Young poured in 15 points with nine assists and eight rebounds.
