Hornets Buzz By Heat

     The Miami Heat fell to the Charlotte Hornets 129-121 in overtime at American Airlines Arena on Monday night. The Heat have lost six of their last seven contests. 
     Miami(7-13) started on a 20-9 spurt and led by only 29-28 after one quarter. The Heat were able to stay in front 57-54 at halftime. Charlotte(10-11) overtook Miami in the final minutes of the third quarter and were up 88-82. The game would go into overtime with both teams tied at 113-113. The Hornets had a 10-2 run in the first four minutes of the extra session. 
     Two Miami players fell short of a double-double. Jimmy Butler had 25 points and nine rebounds while Bam Adebayo compiled 23 points and nine rebounds. Max Strus dropped in 19 points and Duncan Robinson poured in 14 points. 
     Malik Monk came off the bench for Charlotte and scored a game-high 36 points. Devonte' Graham had 24 points in the victory for the Hornets. Gordon Hayward and Cody Zellner both contributed 14 points each.
