The Miami Heat surprised the Utah Jazz 124-116 at American Airlines Arena on Friday night. The Heat expanded their winning streak to five games. The Jazz have the best record in the National Basketball Association and lost for the third time in their last 25 contests.
Utah(26-7) had a 30-26 advantage at the end of one quarter. Miami(15-17) went in front 57-53 by halftime. The Heat stayed ahead 96-94 after three quarters. Miami went on a 13-5 run midway through the fourth and held off the Jazz in the final couple of minutes.
Jimmy Butler got a season-high 33 points along with 10 rebounds and eight assists for a double-double. Bam Adebayo also had a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds for Miami. Goran Dragic added 26 points and Duncan Robinson was able to contribute 15 points.
Donovan Mitchell had a team-high 30 points for Utah. Rudy Gobert compiled a triple-double with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Bojan Bogdanovie poured in 17 points and Mike Conley scored 14 points.
