Wizards Slip By Heat

     The Miami Heat continued their six-game homestand with and lost to the Washington Wizards 103-100 on Wednesday night at American Airlines Arena. The Heat have fallen in seven of their last eight games. Both clubs will meet each other in the same venue on Friday. 
     Miami(7-14) had a 34-31 advantage after one quarter and led 65-55 by halftime. Washington(5-13) cut into the deficit during the third quarter and trailed 82-77. The Wizards went on a 19-9 run at the start of the fourth quarter to get the lead. Both teams were tied 98-98 with 3:00 left and then Washington had a 5-2 spurt to conclude the contest. 
     Tyler Herro scored a team-high 20 points for the Heat. Bam Adebayo compiled a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Jimmy Butler had 19 points, nine assists and eight rebounds to fall short of a double-double. 
     The Wizards were led by Bradley Beal with a game-high 32 points along with nine rebounds. Deni Avdija contributed 13 points in the win.
