The BCS National Championship Game was played on Monday night at Sun Life Stadium as the University of Alabama Crimson Tide dismantled the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish 42-14. The Crimson Tide picked up their second consecutive national title, their third in the last four seasons and their 15th overall national championship. They became the first school to win three titles in four years since Nebraska from 1994 until 1997.
The word dynasty was being thrown around after the game as Alabama head coach Nick Saban was rewarded with his fourth title of his college career. He had led LSU to a championship back in 2003 along with the Crimson Tide in 2009, 2011 and 2012. Saban was the head coach of the Miami Dolphins for two seasons in 2005 and 2006.
