The Chicago Bulls came into town on Friday night and disposed the Miami Heat 96-89 at American Airlines Arena. The Heat have now lost three of their last five games and dropped to 15-3 at home.
An ailing LeBron James had 30 points and six rebounds in 41 minutes for the Heat while Dwyane Wade added 22 points in 33 minutes. Chris Bosh contributed 14 points. five rebounds and five assists in 38 minutes of play.
Carlos Boozer pulled off a double-double for the Bulls with 27 points and 12 rebounds in 42 minutes. Joakim Noah also had a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds in 37 minutes while Kirk Hinrich had 10 points and eight assists in 29 minutes.
Chicago(18-13) hit the last 10 points of the first quarter and led 26-22. The Heat had a seven-point lead midway through the second quarter, but the Bulls took a one-point lead into halftime at 49=48.
Miami(22-9) did not hold the lead once in the second half as the Bulls extended their lead to 75-66 after three quarters. The Heat cut the margin down to three points at 75-72 with 9:26 left in the fourth quarter, but Chicago coasted to victory as they moved the deficit up to double digits three minutes later.
