640 Sports WMEN-AM has added Dave Hyde and Toast as weekend hosts. Hyde has worked at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel and its predecessor the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel since 1990 as a sports columnist. He was employed at the Miami Herald prior to that. Hyde has made numerous appearances for guest segments on most local sports radio stations. In addition, his book Still Perfect: The Untold Story Of The 1972 Miami Dolphins was published in 2012.
Toast was a weekend co-host with Jon Weiner, a.k.a. Stugotz, at 940 Fox Sports Radio WRFX-AM in 2003 and early 2004. He was also a morning show producer on the Kenny and Footy Show for Y-100 WHYI-FM during the early 2000's. Toast left there and became an early morning co-host with the late Steve Brancik in 2005 at 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM.
He reunited with Kenny Walker at Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM in 2006 and 2007 where he worked as a morning show producer and morning sports anchor on the Kenny and Bo(Kim Bokamper) Show. Toast then went to Big 105.9 WBGG-FM as a midday disc jockey and a morning producer for the Paul and Young Ron Show. He was a fill-in host at 940 The Sports Animal WINZ-AM for several months in early 2010.
