Miami Heat reporter Johanna Gomez has left her position as a news reporter at WPLG-TV Channel 10 and joined DJ 106.7 WRMA-FM as a morning sidekick for the DJ Laz Show. She joined WPLG-TV in 2007 after working as a news reporter at LXTV. She had also hosted television studio shows for MUN2, Fuzion and American Latino TV.
Gomez will continue as a locker room reporter for Sun Sports on Miami Heat home games at American Airlines Arena. She started at that network during the 2010-11 season. She was a dancer for the Miami Heat and once worked as a cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins. Gomez, an FIU grad, previously was a game operations stadium host for the Florida Marlins.
