Texas Tech University will use Mike Levine as a radio baseball play-by-play announcer when they face Florida International University on February 25-26 in Miami. Levine currently works for Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM as an evening sports anchor and executive producer for the Kevin Rogers and Brandon Guzio evening show.
Levine, a Penn State University grad, joined WQAM as a sports reporter and sports reporter in October 2007 and added duties as a radio play-by-play announcer for the University of Miami Hurricanes baseball team in 2010. He was also a high school football play-by-play announcer on 1360 WKAT-AM in 2010. Levine became the high school football play-by-play announcer at WQAM for the 2011 and 2012 season.
He hosted a late night baseball show called The Clubhouse at WQAM in 2011. Prior to his move to Miami, he was the sports director, sports anchor and Kalamazoo Kings baseball play-by-play announcer at ESPN 1660 WQSN-AM and WQLR-AM in Kalamazoo, Michigan from March 2005 until September 2007. His first broadcasting job was at WTAJ-AM in State College, Pennsylvania as a high school play-by-play announcer and a sports host from May 2003 until June 2004.
