The Miami Heat stopped a two-game losing streak with a 117-109 victory over the Houston Rockets at Toyota Center on Wednesday night. The Heat have won 14 of their last 16 games and now enter the NBA All-Star Game break.
Miami(25-32) began with a 34-28 lead after one quarter and were still up 58-45 at halftime. Houston(40-18), who came into the contest with the third best record in the NBA and Western Conference, fell behind even more 88-73 after three quarters. The Rockets closed the deficit down to eight points in the fourth quarter. Hassan Whiteside compiled 23 points and 14 rebounds for Miami.
