The Miami Heat extended their winning streak to 13 games as they defeated the Brooklyn Nets 108-99 at Barclays Center on Friday night. The current winning streak makes it the third longest in Heat franchise history. They also beat the Nets for the third time in the last two weeks during the streak.
Brooklyn(9-45), who have the worst record in the NBA, stayed ahead after one quarter 22-20 and by halftime 53-49. Miami(24-30) bounced back in the second half and led 74-72 after three quarter before pulling away late in the fourth quarter. James Johnson put together 26 points, eight rebounds and three blocks for the Heat.
