The Miami Heat returned home after a four-game road swing and lost to the Orlando Magic 116-107 at American Airlines Arena on Monday night. The Heat were defeated for the second straight game following a 13-game winning streak.
Orlando(21-36), who entered the game with the second worst record in the Eastern Conference, moved out to a 36-28 lead after one quarter and were still ahead 60-57 at halftime. Miami(24-32), now two games out from a playoff spot, caught up to the Magic by the end of the third quarter as the contest was tied 87-87. Orlando pulled away as they outscored the Heat 29-20 in the final quarter.
Dion Waiters had 23 points and Goran Dragic got 22 points for the Heat. Evan Fournier compiled a game-high 24 points for the Magic.
