The #1 Alabama Crimson Tide knocked off the #4 Oklahoma Sooners 45-34 in the CFP National Semifinal game held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on Saturday night. Alabama will face #2 Clemson for the CFP National Championship on January 7 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
The Crimson Tide scored 28 unanswered points to go up four touchdowns by the early stage of the second quarter. The Sooners were able to cut the deficit down to 11 points on three different occasions during the second half.
One former South Florida high school player who got noticed was former Deerfield Beach Bucks and current Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy. He had four receptions for 73 receiving yards. Jeudy caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa midway through the fourth quarter.
