The Miami Marlins have sent infielder Yadiel Rivera and pitcher Brett Graves to their Triple-A minor league affiliate in New Orleans. The Marlins roster dropped from 40 players to 38.
Rivera got some considerable time with the Marlins in 2018. He had a .173 batting average with one home run and nine RBI in 111 games last season. He previously played three seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers from 2015 to 2017.
Graves made his major league debut with the Fish this year. He pitched 21 games in relief which amounted to 33-1/3 innings, had a 1-1 record, 21 strikeouts and one save.
