Early National Signing Day Broward County

     Broward County high school players selected where which colleges they will attend. A number of playoff teams had their students make decisions.  
     The first place to look in Broward County for the impact of college signings is St. Thomas Aquinas. The Raiders had running back Daniel Carter(Pittsburgh), defensive lineman Braylen Ingraham(Alabama), defensive back Jordan Battle(Alabama), linebacker Anthony Solomon(Michigan), defensive back Jaden Davis(Oklahoma), linebacker Jahmar Brown(South Carolina), linebacker Avery Huff(Miami), defensive back Myles Bell(Connecticut), Semar Melvin(Wisconsin), offensive lineman Vincent Murphy(South Carolina) and offensive lineman Julian Hernandez(Vanderbilt) sign.
     Deerfield Beach had their share of players who made the state semifinal game two of the last three seasons. They included defensive lineman Brandon Dorlus(Oregon), linebacker Ge'mon Eaford(Oregon), defensive lineman Jevon Davis(Georgia State), defensive back Marcus Lafrance(Middle Tennessee State), wide receiver Dashaun Davis(Appalachian State) and wide receiver Donte Banton(Utah).
     The two-time defending FHSAA Class 3A state champions Chaminade-Madonna had several people of their senior class make their selections. They included wide receiver John Dunmore(Penn State), defensive back Keontra Smith(Miami), defensive back Tecory Couch(Miami), defensive back James Williams(Wisconsin), defensive lineman Thomas Armstrong(TCU) and defensive back Ahmaud Jordan(Tennessee State).
     Players from Cardinal Gibbons helped the school capture their first state championship this year. Signees included quarterback Nik Scalzo(Kentucky), defensive back Sidney Porter(Marshall), running back Vincent Davis(Pittsburgh), tight end Nikolas Ognenovic(Kentucky), linebacker Yahweh Jeudy(Iowa) and offensive lineman Jamari Williams(Arizona).
     Fort Lauderdale had their best season since 1968 and sent this core. Offensive lineman Kaleb Boateng(Clemson), defensive lineman Demetris Dorceus(Air Force) and defensive lineman Desmond Dorceus(Air Force).
     University School reached the Class 4A state semifinal game two consecutive years. Their top players going to the next level of competition had running back Kenny McIntosh(Georgia), wide receiver Zay Flowers(Boston College) and wide receiver Christian Wells(Appalachian State).
     Other high profile Broward County players had Plantation defensive back Adrian Cole(Syracuse), American Heritage linebacker Dorian Jones(Louisville) and Coconut Creek defensive back Tiawan Mullen(Indiana).
