The Florida Panthers have traded goalie Michael Hutchinson to the Toronto Maple Leafs for a 2020 fifth-round draft pick. Hutchinson signed as a free agent during the summer after playing for the Winnipeg Jets last season.
He appeared in four games with the Panthers this season, had a 1-1-2 record, 4.18 goals-against-average and an .839 save percentage. Hutchinson was used as a backup goalie when Roberto Luongo was on the injured reserve list and James Reimer was upped to the starting position in net.
