Braves Knock Down Marlins

The Atlanta Braves defeated the Miami Marlins 5-3 on Friday night at loanDepot park. It was the first time this season that the defending World Series champions appeared in South Florida.
Atlanta (18-21) compiled all five of their runs in the first three innings. They made it 1-0 in the top of the first as Ozzie Albies singled into left field to score Ronald Acuna Jr. Two batters later, former Marlins player Marcell Ozuna blasted a two-run homer to left field on a 2-2 pitch with Albies aboard for his eighth home run of the season.
The Braves increased it to 4-0 in the top of the second. Dansby Swanson powered a solo home run to left on a 2-2 count for his fifth homer of the year.
Miami(17-21) cut it down to 4-1 in the bottom of the frame. Bryan De La Cruz drove in Brian Anderson on a base hit to left field.
In the third inning, Atlanta recaptured a four-run lead 5-1. Travis d'Arnaud ripped a solo home run to left field on a 2-1 pitch for his fourth round-tripper of the 2022 campaign.
The Marlins closed it to 5-3 in the sixth inning. Jorge Soler smashed a solo homer to the left-center field on a 1-2 count with Jesus Aguilar aboard. It was Soler's eighth home run of the season with his new club.
