Rays Blank Marlins

The Tampa Bay Rays shut out the Miami Marlins 4-0 at Tropicana Field on Tuesday night. It was the first contest of a two-game series between both clubs. The Marlins have lost 15 of their last 21 games.
Tampa Bay(25-17) leaped to a 1-0 lead on their first at-bat. Kevin Kiermaier hit an inside-the-ballpark home run into center field on the first pitch for his sixth homer of the campaign. It was the first time in Miami(18-23) Marlins franchise history that had ever occurred.
It became 2-0 for the Rays during the second inning. Harold Ramirez powered a solo homer down the right-field line on a 1-0 count for his first home run this year.
In the eighth inning, Tampa Bay extended it to 4-0. Ji-Man Choi connected with a two-run home run to right field on a 0-1 pitch with Randy Arozarena aboard for his third homer of the season.
