Mark Jones Announces Game 7 Heat Game

Former Miami Heat television studio host and current ESPN play-by-play announcer Mark Jones announced Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat at FTX Arena on Sunday night. He filled for ESPN NBA lead play-by-play announcer Mike Breen, who tested positive for COVID-19.
It is not known how long Breen, who called the first six games of the Heat and Celtics series, will be out for. He was placed under the National Basketball Association health and safety protocol. Breen may possibly miss Game 1 of NBA Finals being broadcast by ABC on Thursday night.
Jones appeared on Miami Heat television broadcasts from 2000-01 until 2002-03. He was a studio host on Sunshine Network, WBFS-TV Channel 33 and WFOR-TV Channel 4. Jason Jackson took over his role in 2003-04 and has been the primary television studio host since then.
